Fantastic Creation

We had a chance to go to Bohol, Philippines to witness the beautiful places in that side of the country. I am amazed upon witnessing the view of it. I wonder if somebody can explain at how those hills came into being except that somebody must have created it. Chocolate hills is just a reflection of the brilliance of its Creator. It is comforting to know that despite the global economic situation, all the threats of AH1N1 infection and the terrorists disturbance in Mindanao there is a place in the Philippines that reflects beauty and hope that there is a Creator who dearly loves His creation.
We went to Loboc river that despite its distance from urban area refuses to accept the possibility of becoming a mediocre place. People in the area were able to develop the place allowing it to become a tourist destination in Bohol thereby uplifting the lives of the people especially those who are living along the river banks, a reflection that there is always hope and bright future if we choose to look at the bright side of life and not its discouragements and hitches.
We were able to see the tarsier that somehow is learning to accept their role in entertaining tourists and guests that would come to the area. A beautiful creation that coexist with humans, a beautiful picture that proves that despite the huge differences between living things, especially human beings can live together in harmony if one will choose to and sacrifice for the sake of harmony, unity and peace. If you have an opportunity to come to these places, you should witness them for yourself.

Global Warning!

One of the prevailing problems in our world today is the problem of global warming. Recently, a landslide in Sorsogon, Philippines happened which claimed the lives of the innocent victims. These people are suppose to be the recipients of the basic services that the government must provide.
While many of us would just attribute the disaster to nature or to "God", the question remains, can these calamities be prevented? If you are are going to ask a politician concerning the gravity or the need to help preserve the nature I'm sure all of them will agree that there really is a need to implement preventive measures.
But as far as creating and implementing projects that will help solve the problem of "global warming", for sure only few of these "politicians" are willing to set aside a meager amount from their "countrywide development fund" simply because it won't contribute or give them the assurance that they'll continue to stay in power.
National elections is fast approaching, I'm sure most of us have noticed the paid advertisements in national television with these "politicians" trying to advertise and pose themselves as the "real public servant" e.g. "padyak guy", "ofw champion", "corruption buster", "promoter of makati". etc.
All of them have implicitly expressed their burning desire and availability for public office come May, 2010. Beware of them, while it might be true legally that they are not liable for they haven't violated any law yet as far as the Omnibus Election Code is concerned, premonition will tell us that these people have no regard for "ethics" commonly known as "delicadeza", a Filipino value that is suppose to be evident for a public servant.
Should these people have revered for such trait, they should have waited for the "campaign period" explicitly stated by the law. By such gesture we can conclude that these people are not willing to extend help as "public servants" without the aid of "national television" and publicity. I am reminded by the teaching of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ, "Do not let the left hand know, what the right hand is doing", this means that when anyone dares to help which is of course a desirable action, he must not announce it to the whole world just like what the Pharisees did.
Presently, the only opportunity for us Filipinos to get even with these people as far as the Constitution is concern is "election time". We have to carefully choose people who really have the heart for public service and not just have the heart to use their position to protect their "malicious interests".
